Bronxville, NY (9/16/10) The Dominican College men's soccer team improved to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play this afternoon after defeating host Concordia College, 4-1.
The Chargers wasted no time getting on the scoreboard as sophomore forward Alex Rodier (Williamstown, NJ) scored a goal just 2:52 into the match off the assist from Sony Narro (Stamford, CT).
DC added to their lead as freshman Jorge Zubillaga (Uruguay) recorded his third goal of the season off the cross from Narro for a 2-0 lead during the 11th minute of action.
A Clipper goal at 20:31 closed out the first half scoring with the Chargers holding a 2-1 lead.
The second half was scoreless until the 88:12 mark when senior James Flaherty (London, England) scored his first goal of the season off the pass from Zubillaga to regain a two goal advantage.
The final goal of the contest came on a shot from 25 yards out at 89:39 as sophomore midfielder Pedro Franklin De Araujo (Campinas-SP, Brazil) tallied his second goal of the year.
Dominican returns to action on Saturday when they host Felician College in a CACC contest scheduled for 12pm on the DC Soccer Field.
