STUDENT-ATHLETE ADVISORY COMMITTEE
A student-athlete advisory committee (SAAC) is a committee made up of student-athletes assembled to provide insight on the student-athlete experience. The SAAC also offers input on the rules, regulations and polices that affect student-athletes’ lives on NCAA member institution campuses.
“The mission of the Dominican College and the NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity, protecting student-athlete welfare and fostering a positive student-athlete image.” The other goals are the following:
To act as a liaison between the student-athlete body and the Dominican College Administrations, at both the academic and athletic level
To design and implement programs that will encourage academic achievement, social responsibility and enhance the entire student-athlete experience
To encourage unity, common purpose and camaraderie between teams and among all athletes in the program
To express needs and concerns of the Dominican College student-athletes
To educate all student-athletes on the NCAA rules and regulations as they pertain to student-athlete welfare.
