LADY CHARGERS VOLLEYBALL LOSE TO PHILADELPHIA UNIVERSITY
Philadelphia, PA (10/23/10) The Dominican College women's volleyball team lost a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match to host, Philadelphia University, 3-0 (13-25, 22-25, 19-25) this afternoon in a match held at the Gallagher Center.

The Rams took advantage of an early 6-1 lead in set one and never looked back as they later gained a 21-9 advantage en route to the 25-13 win.
Dominican came back in set two after trailing 11-5 to tie the set at 22-22 on a Whitney Ranger (Ventura, CA) service ace, but three straight points by the Rams lifted them to the 25-22 win and 2-0 match lead.
Tied 4-4 in the third set, Philadelphia put together an 8-2 run to take a 12-6 lead and would never trail as they went on to the 25-19 win and 3-0 match victory.
Ranger led the Lady Chargers in both kills and assists, posting eight kills and 22 assists.
Senior Kerianne Dudley (Nanuet, NY), sophomore Courtney Heard (Ventura, CA) and rookie Randi Garrett (Rockledge, FL) each tallied five kills in the loss, while libero Jordyn Fuller (Keller, TX) led the team with 19 defensive digs.
With the loss Dominican falls to 13-15 overall and 10-5 in the CACC.
Dominican is back in action on Thursday when they host Felician College in a CACC contest scheduled for 7pm on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
