CHARGERS SOCCER SHUTS OUT CHESTNUT HILL COLLEGE

Lafayette Hill, PA (10/22/11) The Dominican College men's soccer team shut out host, Chestnut Hill College, 1-0, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game. With the win, Dominican improves to 8-4-3 overall and 6-2-2 in conference play, while the Griffins fall to 5-9-1 overall and 3-6-0 in the CACC.

Lafayette Hill, PA (10/22/11)  The Dominican College men's soccer team shut out host, Chestnut Hill College, 1-0, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game.  With the win, Dominican improves to 8-4-3 overall and 6-2-2 in conference play, while the Griffins fall to 5-9-1 overall and 3-6-0 in the CACC.

The game winning goal was scored in the 6th minute of action as junior Sony Narro (Stamford, CT) netted the unassisted goal on a shot over the Griffin goalie's head after a defensive turnover.

Charger keeper Brandon Heembrock* (Ottawa, Canada) made three saves in the victory.

The Griffins outshot the Chargers, 15-13, and held a 9-4 advantage in corner kicks.

Dominican is back in action on Tuesday when they travel to non-conference opponent, the University of Massachusetts-Lowell in a 7pm contest.
