MEN'S SOCCER DEFEATS WILMINGTON UNIVERSITY

Orangeburg, NY (10/9/10) The Dominican College men's soccer team defeated Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent, Wilmington University, 1-0 this afternoon in conference play on the DC Soccer Field. With the win Dominican improves to 8-3-1 overall and 5-2-1 in the CACC.

Orangeburg, NY (10/9/10)  The Dominican College men's soccer team defeated Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent, Wilmington University, 1-0 this afternoon in conference play on the DC Soccer Field.  With the win Dominican improves to 8-3-1 overall and 5-2-1 in the CACC.

The game winning goal came at 29:26  as sophomore midfielder Pedro Franklin De Araujo (Capinas-SP, Brazil) headed the ball into the net off the corner kick pass from midfielder Sony Narro (Stamford, CT) for the eventual 1-0 victory.

The Chargers outshot the Wildcats 17-15, while the 'Cats held a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Charger keeper Brandon Heembrock (Ottawa, Canada) made six saves in the victory.

Dominican is back in action on Thursday when they travel to Post University in a CACC contest slated for 3pm.
