Coach Suero enters his second year at the helm of the women's cross country and track and field programs.
Suero's past collegiate coaching experiences include a season at Mercy College (2007) where he was an assistant coach for the track and field team. He also has 17 years of coaching experience on the high school level as he was the Head Boys Cross Country Coach and Track and Field Coach at both George Washington High School and Christopher Columbus High School.
Prior to that Coach Suero spent three years as an assistant coach for the Dominican Republic Middle Distance National Team.
Coach Suero spent his collegiate career at the Pratt Institute where he was an NCAA All-American in the 400m event from 1979-1981 and was a member of the track team for four years.
Suero earned his B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetic from the Pratt Insitute. He went on to earn his Doctor in Medicine from the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo and his certificate in Physical Education from the Universidad Nacional pedro Henriquez Urena Santo Domingo.
Coach Suero is currently a physical education teacher at Christopher Columbus High School and resides in Highland Mills, NY.
Coach Cotter enters his first year on the women's cross country and track and field staff.
Cotter spent his collegiate career at St. John's University where he was captain of the men's cross country and track and field teams in 2000 and 2001. He set personal collegiate records of 1:51:30 in 800m, 2:28:94 in 1000m and 3:59:62 in 1500m events. He was also a Big East All-Academic Team selection and a member of the Gold Key National Honor Society.
Prior to his collegiate career he was named the Rhode Island Interscholastic State Champion in both 1996 and 1997 in the 600m, 800m and 4x400m relay events.
Coach Cotter had previously coached at Warwick Valley Middle School where he spent the 2006 season as an assistant coach for the girls' track and field team where they took 2nd place at the West Point Invitational.
Cotter earned a B.S. in Sports Management in
2001 and his M.Ed. in Student Development Practices in Higher
Education in 2003 from St. John's University. He currently
resides in Piermont, NY.
