CROSS COUNTRY FINISH FIFTH AT PHILADELPHIA METRO SMALL COLLEGE MEET
Philadelphia, PA (9/25/10) The Dominican College women's cross country team finished fifth out of 20 teams that competed in the Philadelphia Metro Small College meet held this afternoon at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia, PA (9/25/10) The Dominican College women's cross country team finished fifth out of 20 teams that competed in the Philadelphia Metro Small College meet held this afternoon at Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia.
Fellow Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) member, Philadelphia University took home the team title with 79 total points. Ursinus College took second place with 81 points, while Catholic University finished in third place with 110 points. Wilmington University finished with 155 points, while Dominican finished with 160 points to round out the top five teams.
Sophomore Julia Miller (Mount Vernon, NY) was the top finisher for the Lady Chargers as she ran a time of 22:13.63 to finish in 13th place. Junior Sarah Dugandzic (Suffern, NY) finished in 16th place with a time of 22:28.52.
Junior Samantha Klunk (York, PA) finished in 26th place with a time of 23:00.10, while rookie Jessica Avila (Mount Vernon, NY) took 28th place with a time of 23:20.04.
Freshman Amanda Castro (New Rochelle, NY) ran a time of 26:28.49 to finish in 95th place, while Keyla Cruz (Bronx, NY) finished in 116th place with a time of 26:16.34. Michelle Brito (Washington Heights, NY) ran a time of 31:22.56 in the 5K race.
Dominican will next participate in the Goldey-Beacom College Fall Classic on Saturday, October 9th.
