Madison, NJ (9/30/06) The Dominican College Cross Country team placed fourth and fifth, respectively at the Drew University Invitational today.

Madison, NJ (9/30/06) The Dominican College Cross Country team placed fourth and fifth, respectively at the Drew University Invitational today.

The women's team finished in fourth place with a team score of 91. Jessica Lappe (Nanuet, NY) was the top finisher for DC with a time of 22:30 to finish in fifth place overall. Julie Diaz (Bronx, NY) finished in 18th place with a time of 26:48 and Stephanie Ceballos (Manhattan, NY) finished in 19th place with a time of 26:53. Nathalie Jean Baptiste (Valley Stream, NY) ended with a time of 30:41 to finish in 24th place and Vilma L. Saban (Providence, RI) finished in 26th place with a time of 32:05. Karina Montoya (Teaneck, NJ) finished in 29th place with a time of 39:59.

The men's team finished in fifth place as sophomore Randy Dunkin (Dumont, NJ) was the top finisher for Dominican with a time of 20:12 which put him in 18th place. Nick Poggi (Clifton, NJ) finished in 22nd place iwth a time of 20:52 and Will Carty (Bronx, NY) finished in 29th place with a time of 25:33. Prince Jackson (Schenectady, NY) finished in 30th place with a time of 25:37 and Kazeem Famuyide (Staten Island, NY) finished in 31st place with a time of 25:40. The team finished with a total score of 130.

Both teams are back in action on October 9th when they host the Dominican College Invitational against the University of Bridgeport, Queens College and Caldwell College. The women will begin at 3pm and the men will begin at 3:45 pm at Tallman State Park.
