RANGER NAMED TO DAKTRONICS NCAA DIVISION II WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL EAST ALL-REGION TEAM

Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/27/12) Dominican College women's volleyball player, Whitney Ranger, has been named to the 2012 Daktronics NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball East All-Region Team as was announced today. Ranger is one of four players from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) to be named to the All-Region Teams.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/27/12)  Dominican College women's volleyball player, Whitney Ranger*, has been named to the 2012 Daktronics NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball East All-Region Team as was announced today.  Ranger is one of four players from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) to be named to the All-Region Teams.

Ranger, a senior setter from Ventura, Calif. was named to the Second Team and makes her first career appearance on the Daktronics All-Region squad. 

She leads the team and ranked third in the CACC in assists and assists per set.  Ranger also ranked fourth in the conference in service aces and service aces per set.  She was recently named to the All-CACC First team and had previously been named to the All-CACC Second Team in 2011 and 2010, while earning Honorable Mention honors in 2009.

Sports information directors from NCAA Division II East Region schools and conferences selected the two DaktronicsAll-Region teams. The process concludes with All-American selections announced in December.  This is the seventh year Daktronics has sponsored the NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball All-Region and All-American teams.

The team is sponsored by Daktronics, Inc., an acknowledged world leader in scoring, timing and programmable display systems for virtually every sport at every level of competition. The team is voted on by the NCAA Division II members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA).
