LADY CHARGERS VOLLEYBALL EARNS PROGRAM'S FIRST NCAA TOURNAMENT APPEARANCE

Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/18/12) The Dominican College women's volleyball team has earned the program's first berth in the NCAA East Region Championship as was announced by the NCAA this evening. The Lady Chargers have earned the eighth seed in the east region tournament and will face the top seed and host, University of New Haven.

(11/18/12)  The Dominican College women's volleyball team has earned the program's first berth in the NCAA East Region Championship as was announced by the NCAA this evening.  The Lady Chargers have earned the eighth seed in the east region tournament and will face the top seed and host, University of New Haven.

The tournament is slated to begin November 29th and run through December 1st.

The Lady Chargers are currently 26-7 overall on the season.  The team finished the regular season (23-7) with a perfect record of 19-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play and won the CACC Championship to earn the conference's automatic bid to the tournament.

The regional will also feature Adelphi University, Franklin Pierce University, University of Bridgeport, C.W. Post University, Dowling College and New York Institute of Technology.
