DEXTER AND CARRINGTON NAMED CACC ROOKIE AND COACH OF THE YEAR
Orangeburg, N.Y. (11/9/12) Dominican College women's volleyball player, Tori Dexter (Selah, Wash.) and head coach, Stefanie Carrington, have been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Year and the Coach of the year as was announced by the conference office today at the awards luncheon. Two other players earned All-CACC accolades, while two more received Honorable Mention honors.

(11/9/12) Dominican College women's volleyball player, Tori Dexter (Selah, Wash.) and head coach, Stefanie Carrington, have been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Year and the Coach of the year as was announced by the conference office today at the awards luncheon. Two other players earned All-CACC accolades, while two more received Honorable Mention honors.
Along with Dexter, seniors Whitney Ranger* (Ventura, Calif.) and Jordyn Fuller* (Keller, Texas) were named to the All-CACC First Team.
Seniors Michelle Fiorvanti (Commack, N.Y.) and Courtney Heard (Ventura, Calif.) received Honorable Mention honors.
Dexter, a freshman outside hitter leads the team in kills and ranks seventh in the conference in kills. She ranks fourth in the CACC in kills per set and has been named the CACC Rookie of the Week twice this season. Dexter has also earned on CACC Player of the Week honoris this year.
Carrington, who is in her fifth season as the helm of the Lady Chargers has guided the team to a 25-7 overall record was finished the CACC regular season with a pefect 19-0 record. This is her second CACC Coach of the Year accolades as she was previously won the honor in 2009.
Ranger, a four-year starter, leads the team and ranks third in the CACC in assists and assists per set. Ranger also ranks fourth in the conference in service aces and service aces per set. She has been previously named to the All-CACC Second Team in 2011 and 2010, while earning Honorable Mention honors in 2009.
Fuller, a senior libero, leads the team and ranks second in the conference in digs per set. She also ranks third in the CACC in digs. This is her second straight All-CACC First Team honors and is a three-year team captain.
Fiorvanti and Heard are both seniors who are receiving their first Honorable Mention honors this season.
