New Haven, Conn. (11/5/12) Dominican College freshman Tori Dexter (Selah, Wash.) has been selected as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player and Rookie of the Week for the period ending Nov. 4.

CACC VOLLEYBALL PLAYER/ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
TORI DEXTER, DOMINICAN (Fr., OH, Selah, Wash.)
Led Chargers to a 2-0 week to clinch a perfect 19-0 CACC record for the regular season. Led squad with 26 kills, 19 digs and three aces over the pair of matches, while hitting .302 (26-7-63) overall.
This is Dexter's third Rookie of the Week honors this season and her first Player of the Week honors.
CACC VOLLEYBALL HONORABLE MENTION
RACHAEL DILEONARDO, CALDWELL (Fr., OH, Cincinnati, Ohio)
Led Cougars to a pair of wins last week over Georgian Court and Concordia while posting 25 kills, nine digs and a .373 (25-3-59).
KRSITEN LONEY, DOMINICAN (Jr., MH, Pine Bush, N.Y.)
Tallied 13 kills and seven blocks while hitting .370 (13-3-27) overall in leading the Chargers to a pair of wins last week.
ELLIE EDGAR, PHILADELPHIA (Sr., OH, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio)
Posted a .526 (11-1-19) hitting percentage while registering 11 kills, five digs and five blocks over a pair of matches last week.
SAM GARZA, NYACK (Fr., MB, North Branch, Mich.)
Hit .480 in Warriors lone match last week while recording 14 kills and one solo block.
CACC VOLLEYBALL TEAM NOTES
CALDWELL - The Cougars wrapped up the regular season with a five-set loss to Georgian Court on Saturday and a four-set win over Concordia on Sunday. The results give Caldwell a 20-13 record on the season, including a 13-6 mark in CACC play. The reigning CACC champion Cougars will host Georgian Court in the quarterfinals of the CACC Tournament on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 7:00 p.m.
CHESTNUT HILL - The Griffins finished 2012 at 9-21 overall and 5-14 in the CACC. They were led up front by junior outside hitter Alexandra DePalma (Shillington, Pa.), and freshmen, outside hitter Abby Gruver and middle hitter Rachel Biro. DePalma averaged 2.74 points per set and she finished third on the team in both kills (208) and digs (276). Gruver led the Griffins in kills (232) and aces (24) and finished second in digs (298) while Biro ranked second on the team in kills (218) and blocks (66).
CONCORDIA - Concordia concluded their regular season schedule this past week after a 1-2 performance. The Clippers captured a 3-2 victory over Post before falling to both Goldey-Beacom and Caldwell. Senior Chelsea Zurcher (Crofton, Md.) led the team with a .258 attacking percentage and 38 kills while recording nine total blocks. Concordia did not qualify for the post season after finishing with a 6-19 (6-13 CACC) record and finished in 5th in the CACC North Division.
DOMINICAN - The Lady Chargers went 2-0 last week with wins over Felician College and Holy Family University to finish the regular season with an overall record of 23-7 and a program record of 19-0 in the CACC. The team continued their winning streak to 17 straight matches with the victories.
GEORGIAN COURT - Georgian Court clinched its first postseason berth since 2010 with Saturday's dramatic must-win over Caldwell College, defeating the two-time reigning champs by a 3-2 score ... the match was played at Jackson Memorial High School (Jackson, NJ) because of power outages on the GCU campus ... The Lions held a senior day celebration prior to the match, honoring the collegiate careers of Maria Antimisiaris, Amy Berry, and Caitlyn Lawrence ... the day was extra special for Lawrence as she ended up playing her last regular season match on the same court she played her high school volleyball ... Antimisiaris collected a double-double in the contest, tallying 12 kills and 15 assists in the win.
GOLDEY-BEACOM - The Lightning ended the 2012 season by posting a 1-2 record last week, including a pair of five-set matches. After dropping a three-set decision against Philadelphia University on Wednesday night, the Lightning suffered a tough five-set loss against Post University in their home finale on Friday night. On Saturday afternoon, the Lightning snapped a 19-match losing streak and earned their first win since Sept. 13 with a five-set win at Concordia. Sophomore outside hitter Kadi McCoy led the Lightning last week with 45 kills and 38 digs while posting three "double double" performances. In addition, she became the seventh player in school history to record 300 or more kills in a season while moving into fifth place on the school's career list with 618 kills through two years. Meanwhile, freshman defensive specialist Mackenzie Wilson led the Lightning with 58 digs in three matches, including a season-high 25 digs against Post on Friday night. Over her final four matches, McCoy averaged 17.25 kills per outing, including a career-high 24 kills against Bloomfield in a five-set loss on Oct. 27. Senior middle hitter Catherine Howard ended the season with 84 blocks this season, which is the fifth-highest mark in school history. She had a career-high nine blocks with 10 kills against Concordia. Meanwhile, senior setter/opposite Monica Dempsey ended her career ranked second in school history in career assists (1,926) and fourth in career digs (1,209). She is the only player in school history with 1,000 career assists and 1,000 career digs. In addition, Dempsey tallied 460 career kills, the ninth-highest total in Goldey-Beacom volleyball history.
