WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL SWEEPS CONCORDIA COLLEGE
Bronxville, NY (10/6/11) The Dominican College women's volleyball team extended their winning streak to three matches with a 3-0 victory over host, Concordia College, 3-0 this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match held at the Meyer Athletic Center. With the win, Dominican improves to 11-9 overall and 7-2 in the conference, while Concordia falls to 1-14 overall and 1-8 in the CACC.

The first set was a tight battle as neither team led by more than three points. Tied at 22-22, back-to-back Clipper errors put DC at set point and a kill by freshman Kayla Dexter (Selah, WA) lifted the Lady Chargers to a 25-22 win.
Tied at 18-all in set two, Dominican outscored the Clippers 7-2 over the remaining nine points to take the 25-20 victory and 2-0 match lead.
Dominican never trailed in the third set taking the 3-0 match victory with a 25-20 set win.
Junior Courtney Heard (Ventura, CA) led the Lady Charger offense with 10 kills for a .364 attack percentage. Michelle Fiorvanti (Commack, NY) added eight kills, while setter Whitney Ranger (Ventura, CA) recorded 29 assists. Libero Jordyn Fuller (Keller, TX) had a match leading 22 defensive digs.
Dominican is back in action on Saturday when they host the University of the Sciences for a 12 pm CACC match to be played on Coach Baxter Court.
