LADY CHARGERS VOLLEYBALL SPLITS AT ADELPHI UNIVERSITY TRI-MATCH
Garden City, NY (9/17/11) The Dominican College women's volleyball team split a non-conference tri-match hosted by Adelphi University this afternoon. In the first match, the Lady Chargers defeated Assumption College, 3-1, while DC fell to the host, 3-0 in the second match. With the split DC now stands at 6-6 overall.

Garden City, NY (9/17/11) The Dominican College women's volleyball team split a non-conference tri-match hosted by Adelphi University this afternoon. In the first match, the Lady Chargers defeated Assumption College, 3-1, while DC fell to the host, 3-0 in the second match. With the split DC now stands at 6-6 overall.
Match One: In the first match of the day, junior libero Jordyn Fuller* (Keller, TX) recorded her 1,000th career dig in leading the Lady Chargers to the 3-1 victory (25-16, 25-16, 22-25, 25-17).
Sophomore Randi Garrett (Rockledge, FL) led the team with 11 kills, while Fuller finished with a match leading 34 defensive digs. Setter Whitney Ranger (Ventura, CA) had a match leading 32 assists and eight kills for a .400 attack percentage in the win.
Junior outside hitter Michelle Fiorvanti (Commack, NY) had seven kills.
Match Two: In the 3-0 (18-25, 16-25, 18-25) loss to the Panthers, Fiorvanti led the team with five kills and seven digs. Ranger tallied 12 assists.
Dominican returns to action on Tuesday night when they host Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) opponent, Felician College in a 7pm match to be played on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
