(9/ 24/12) Dominican College junior Olivia Antonopolous (Baldwin, N.Y.) has been tabbed as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week, for the period ending Sept. 23. Nyack freshman Julia Nosert (Riedstadt Leeheim, Germany) was selected as the Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week.

Opened the week with a hat trick in 4-2 win over St. Thomas Aquinas (9/19) before following with an assist in 2-1 win vs. Goldey-Beacom (9/22). Finished with seven total points over two matches last week.

TESSA DUNSTER, POST (So., F, 5-9, Stamford, Conn.)
Netted a hat trick in Post's first win of the season, a 5-2 decision over NYIT (9/17).
KRISTINA CABALES, CALDWELL (Sr., GK, East Islip, N.Y.)
Posted a pair of shutouts in CACC victories over Nyack (9/19) and Chestnut Hill (9/22) last week, making a total of 12 saves.
CARLY DIGIOVANNI, CHESTNUT HILL (Jr., M, 5-7, Seaville, N.J.)
Totaled three goals and an assist in 3-1 win at Goldey-Beacom (9/19). Leads Griffins with 16 points and seven goals on the season.
LISA ABRAMSKI, HOLY FAMILY (Fr., M/F, 5-5, Lindenhurst, N.Y.)
Scored first two collegiate goals in 2-1 win at Felician (9/22).
CACC WOMEN'S SOCCER TEAM NOTES
BLOOMFIELD - Bloomfield picked up its second victory of the season Monday night, as they topped non-conference opponent Lincoln University in a 1-1 week. Sophomore forward Stephany Cunha (Wallingford, Ct.) led the offensive attack with a goal and as assist in the victory, while Mikie Bradley (Jackson, N.J.) picked up her second goal of the season with a second-half strike that would prove to be the game-winning goal. Sophomore Nicole Paparella (Hamilton, N.J.), senior Shawna Reynolds (Lyndhurst, N.J.) and junior Ingrid Melendez (Queens, N.Y.) also notched a goal apiece in the win, with each player registering their first goal of the season. In the club's loss to CACC rival Felician College Wednesday night, rookie goalkeeper Jaclyn Kosh (Brick, N.J.) registered a career-high 16 saves in a 2-0 setback.
CALDWELL - The Cougars won a pair of CACC contests last week to extend their winning streak to six games. On Wednesday, Caldwell blanked Nyack 2-0, with senior goalkeeper Kristina Cabales making nine saves and senior defender Sarah Royse assisting on both goals. In Saturday's 4-0 win over Chestnut Hill, Cabales had three saves and junior Julie Crankshaw had two goals and an assist. Junior Carissa Strye added a goal and an assist in the win, which broke the school record for consecutive victories, set in 2004. The Cougars host Bloomfield on Tuesday before playing at Georgian Court on Saturday.
CHESTNUT HILL - The Griffins went 1-1 in this week's two CACC contests, first defeating Goldey-Beacom College, 3-1, in a road game on Wednesday, September 19, before losing 4-0 at Caldwell College on Saturday, September 22.
CONCORDIA - The Clippers dropped a 4-1 decision against Georgian Court on Saturday afternoon in a 0-1 week. Upcoming opponents include Post on Tuesday, Queens (N.Y.) on Thursday and Goldey-Beacom on Saturday. All matches this week for Concordia will be played on the road.
DOMINICAN - The Lady Chargers soccer team went 2-0 last week with victories over St. Thomas Aquinas College and Goldey-Beacom College to improve to 3-4 overall and 2-2 in CACC play. Junior forward Olivia Antonopoulos (Baldwin, N.Y.) recorded a hat trick in victory over STAC.
FELICIAN - Felician is 3-1 on the road but just 1-3 at home this season.
HOLY FAMILY - Holy Family went 1-1-0 this past week as the Tigers snapped their seven-game losing streak to start the season with a 2-1 win at Felician on Saturday. The victory marked the first career win for first-year head coach Jill Kehan. Freshman Lisa Abramski tallied both goals in the win at Felician as she picked up her first career scores. Abramski scored the game-winner in the 89th minute. Senior Rachel Dunkle surpassed 100-career saves in the setback to Georgian Court this past Wednesday (2-1). Dunkle became the eighth player in program history to tally 100-plus career saves. She currently has 104 career saves.
GEORGIAN COURT - Liz Lawler collected her first three points of the season with a goal and an assist in Saturday's 4-1 win at Concordia ... Tara Troisi and Katie Scheider also netted their first goals of the year in the victory ... GCU, riding a three-game winning streak, host two key CACC contests this week (Tuesday vs. Chestnut Hill; Saturday vs. Caldwell).
GOLDEY-BEACOM - The Lightning suffered a pair of losses last week. Now 0-7-0 overall and 0-6-0 in the CACC, the Lightning lost by a 3-1 margin against Chestnut Hill on Wednesday before dropping a 3-1 road verdict at Dominican on Saturday afternoon. Freshman forward Tiffany Kelly scored the first goal of her college career against Dominican, giving Goldey-Beacom a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute. It marked the second time this year that the Lightning scored the game's first goal. With 42 saves in seven games, senior goalkeeper Alyssa Vetrano is tied for sixth in the CACC. The Lightning will play three games in a span of five days this week, including two home affairs. After entertaining Washington Adventist on Tuesday, the Lightning will visit Delaware State on Thursday night. Goldey-Beacom will also host Concordia in a soccer doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.
PHILADELPHIA - The Lady Rams split a pair of CACC matches last week. Philadelphia defeated host Wilmington (Del.) 3-0. Melissa Copeland led the way as she scored two goals and dished out one assist. Kristen Ferguson scored the other Lady Ram goal. Philadelphia was defeated by Nyack on Saturday 2-1. Ferguson scored again for Philadelphia and extended her goal-scoring streak to five straight matches. Kelli Kowalewski made four saves against the Wildcats and six in the loss to the Warriors.
POST - Post picked up its first win of the season on Monday, Sept. 17, after a 5-2 triumph over NYIT at LaMoy Field. The Eagles got a hat trick from sophomore Tessa Dunster and two more goals from Renel Dennis in the win. Dennis is tied for third in the league in goals (six) and points (13). Senior Sabrina Sinopoli is tied for second in the CACC in assists with three. The Eagles round out a three-match homestand against Concordia on Tuesday, Sept. 25. The opening touch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
WILMINGTON - The Wildcats went 1-1 last week in the CACC, dropping a battle for first place against Philadelphia, 3-0, before regaining momentum with an overtime win at Post, 2-1, on Saturday. Chelsea Grace scored the game-winner in the 105th minute off a feed from Morgan Fraczkowski for her second goal of the season. Jenna Quaranta got the scoring started in the first half, scoring her second goal of the season on a shot that went up and over the goalie from outside the penalty box. Amanda Walters made four stops at Post on Saturday, and made five more stops against Philadelphia, playing all 194:30 minutes in goal for the Wildcats last week. Wilmington kick starts a five game home-stand this week, facing Holy Family on Tuesday before hosting Nyack on Saturday.
