#7 WOMEN'S SOCCER FALL TO #6 HOLY FAMILY UNIVERSITY

Lafayette Hill, PA (11/3/11)  The seventh-seeded Lady Chargers of Dominican College fell to the sixth-seeded Tigers of Holy Family University, 3-2, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) semi-final gameplayed at Victory Field on the campus of Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School.  With the loss Dominican ends their season with an overall record of 8-7-2.

The first 22 and a half minutes of the game saw the Tigers take an early 2-0 lead with back-to-back goals.  Sophomore forward Olivia Antonopoulos (Baldwin, NY) brought the Lady Chargers within a goal at the 33:28 mark with her 10th goal of the season as she put a shot in the net from 25 yards out.

Thirteen minutes into the second half, Holy Family University regained a two goal advantage, putting the ball in the net off a rebound for the 3-1 lead.

Junior Jamilyn Snyder (Lacey, NJ) tallied her team leading 11th goal in the 61st minute as she scored a goal off a free kick for the eventual 3-2 final score.

Lady Charger keeper Kaitlyn Hertz (Voorhees, NJ) made 10 saves in the loss.

The Tigers outshot the Lady Chargers, 26-14, while both teams had four corner kicks a-piece.

Holy Family University advances to the CACC Championship which will be played on Saturday at Victory Field.
