#7 WOMEN'S SOCCER UPSETS #2 FELICIAN COLLEGE

Lyndhurst, NJ (11/1/11)  The seventh-seeded Dominican College Lady Chargers soccer team upset the second-seeded Felician College Golden Falcons, 3-1, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Quarter-Final game played at the Lyndhurst Recreation Complex.  With the victory Dominican improves to 8-6-2 overall and advances to the CACC Tournament Semi-Finals to be played on Thursday at Chestnut Hill College.

Junior midfielder Jamilyn Snyder (Lacey, NJ) recorded the hat trick, scoring all three of the Lady Charger goals.  The first goal was scored in the 36th minute as she received the ball from Danielle Romano (Plainview, NY) and blasted a shot from 25 yards out the went into the net just under the crossbar for the 1-0 lead.

In the second half, Snyder struck again at the 54:44 mark as she took the low shot from the middle of the box off the assist from sophomore Olivia Antonopoulos (Baldwin, NY).  Less than two minutes later Snyder completed the hat trick with a goal from the right side of the field, following Antonopoulos's second assist of the day.

Dominican will take on the the sixth-seeded Tigers of Holy Family University on Thursday in a CACC Semi-Final contest to be played at Chestnut Hill College.  Game time is slated for 6pm.
