BECKER EARNS CACC ROOKIE OF THE WEEK HONORS

New Haven, CT (10/17/11) Jennifer Becker of Dominican College was tabbed the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Week for the week ending Oct. 17. Melissa Copeland of Philadelphia University has been selected the CACC Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

New Haven, CT (10/17/11)  Jennifer Becker of Dominican College was tabbed the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Week for the week ending Oct. 17.  Melissa Copeland of Philadelphia University has been selected the CACC Women's Soccer Player of the Week.

Becker, a 5-7 freshman from Hawthorne, N.J., registered two goals and one assist in a shutout victory over Concordia, while helping the Chargers go 2-0 last week.

Copeland, a 5-6 junior forward from Islip Terrace, N.Y., helped lead Philadelphia to a 3-0 week to push its winning streak to 10 games. She tallied two goals and one assist on the week, including a goal in a 2-0 win over Georgian Court. She also scored one goal and one assist in a win over Molloy.

Danielle Charette, Post (So., M, Naugatuck, CT) - Registered one goal and three assists in a win over Bloomfield.


Alex Smith, Goldey-Beacom (Fr., F, Pennsville, NJ) - Scored both goals in a 2-1 road victory over Wilmington.


Allie Couzo, Felician (Jr., GK, 5-6, Sayreville, NJ) - In two games, came up with 10 saves and allowed two goals.


Christine Rutherford, Bloomfield (Sr., M/F, North Arlington, NJ) - Contributed two goals for the Deacons last week.
