LADY CHARGERS SOCCER FALLS TO PHILADELPHIA UNIVERSITY

Orangeburg, NY (9/25/11)  The Dominican College women's soccer team fell to the visiting Philadelphia University Rams, 3-1, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played on the DC Soccer Field.  With the loss, Dominican falls to 1-5-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the CACC.

The Rams got on the scoreboard first with a goal in the 33rd minute of action and later took a 2-0 lead in the second half with their second goal in the 52nd minute.

The lone Dominican goal came in the 58th minute as sophomore Stephanie Falzarano (Roslyn Heights, NY) scored a goal to make the score 2-1.

Philadelphia ended the scoring with a goal in the 68th minute for the 3-1 victory.

Lady Charger keeper Veronica Iozzi (Chester, NJ) made three saves in the loss.

Dominican returns to action on Wednesday when they host St. Thomas Aquinas College in a non-conference game scheduled for to start at 3:30 pm on the DC Soccer Field.
