LADY CHARGERS SOCCER LOSE TO FELICIAN COLLEGE

Orangeburg, NY (9/13/11) The visiting Golden Falcons of Felician College defeated the Lady Chargers of Dominican College, 2-1, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's soccer game held on the DC Soccer Field. With the win, Felician improves to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the CACC, while the Lady Chargers fall to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

Orangeburg, NY (9/13/11)  The visiting Golden Falcons of Felician College defeated the Lady Chargers of Dominican College, 2-1, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's soccer game held on the DC Soccer Field.  With the win, Felician improves to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the CACC, while the Lady Chargers fall to 1-3 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

The Golden Falcons took a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute of play on a ball that hit off the right post of the Dominican goal and richoceted into the left side of the net.

Dominican tied the game early in the second half (48:07) as sophomore Olivia Antonopoulos (Baldwin, NY) served the ball to junior midfielder Jamilyn Snyder (Lacey, NJ) who tallied her team leading third goal of the season to tie the game at 1-1.

The game winning goal for Felician came at 60:16 on a shot from the 18 yard line.

Lady Charger keeper Veronica Iozzi (Chester, NJ) made three saves in the loss.

Dominican had the edge in shots, 13-7, and corner kicks, 7-4.

DC is back in action on Saturday when they host Holy Family University in a CACC contest scheduled for 12pm on the DC Soccer Field.
