PORTER AND ANTONOPOULOS NAMED TO ALL-CACC WOMEN'S SOCCER TEAM
Orangeburg, NY (11/1/10) Dominican College women's soccer players, Margaret Porter and Olivia Antonopoulos, have been named to the 2010 All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Soccer Team as was announced by the conference office today. Both players received All-CACC Second Team honors.
Orangeburg, NY (11/1/10) Dominican College women's soccer players, Margaret Porter and Olivia Antonopoulos, have been named to the 2010 All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Soccer Team as was announced by the conference office today. Both players received All-CACC Second Team honors.
Porter, a senior midfielder from Neptune, NJ, makes her second appearance on the All-CACC Team as she received First Team honors in 2009. She also recieved an Honorable Mention selection in 2008. Porter is third on the team with five goals on the season and has been a two-year team captain. Last season she earned CACC All-Tournament Team, Daktronics, Inc East Region First Team, ECAC All-Star and to the Daktronics, Inc NCAA Division II All-America Second Team honors. She has amassed 32 career goals in her time at DC.
Antonopoulos, a freshman forward from Baldwin, NY, leads the Lady Chargers and is fourth in the CACC with 11 goals this year. She leads the team with 24 points (11 goals, 2 assists) to be fifth in the CACC in both points and points per game (1.57). Antonopolous also ranks in the top ten in the conference in shots (55), shots per game (3.50) and goals per game (0.71).
