WOMEN'S SOCCER DEFEATS NYACK COLLEGE
Orangeburg, NY (10/26/10) The Dominican College women's soccer team defeated the visiting Warriors from Nyack College 4-1 this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup at the DC Soccer Field. With the victory, Dominican improves to 9-6 overall and 6-5 in conference play.

Orangeburg, NY (10/26/10) The Dominican College women's soccer team defeated the visiting Warriors from Nyack College 4-1 this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) matchup at the DC Soccer Field. With the victory, Dominican improves to 9-6 overall and 6-5 in conference play.
The first goal of the game came at 7:31 as sophomore Jade Fletcher (Ottawa, Canada) headed the ball into the goal off of a corner kick assist by Jamilyn Snyder (Lacey, NJ). The Warriors responded with a goal off of the post at 35:03 to tie the game at 1-1.
The Lady Chargers scored three more goals in the second half and never looked back en route to a 4-1 victory. Senior midfielder Margaret Porter (Neptune, NJ) scored at the 60:54 mark off of the assist from senior Kristen Haycook (Point Pleasant, NJ). Freshman forward Olivia Antonopoulos (Baldwin, NY) scored Dominican's third goal of the day at the 80:22 mark. Three minutes later, Snyder scored the team's fourth goal of the game on a shot outside of the 18 off of the assist by senior Sierra Kader (Bethany, CT).
Lady Charger goalie Kari Spicer (Littleton, CO) recorded three saves in the victory.
Prior to the game, Dominican recognized seniors Haycook, Kader, and Porter.
Dominican is back in action on Thursday when they travel to Post
University for a CACC matchup scheduled for 3:00 pm.
