Orangeburg, NY (10/9/10) The visiting Wildcats of Wilmington University netted two goals in the second half to defeat the Dominican College women's soccer team, 2-0, this afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on the DC Soccer Field.

Orangeburg, NY (10/9/10) The visiting Wildcats of Wilmington University netted two goals in the second half to defeat the Dominican College women's soccer team, 2-0, this afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action on the DC Soccer Field.
Wilmington broke an 0-0 tie in the 62nd minute of play when sophomore midfielder Molly Taylor (Forest Hill, MD) netted a goal off the corner kick from senior Amanda Davis (Middletown, DE). WU extended their lead when Davis took a shot from inside the box to score the goal off the assist from Samantha Simpson (Middletown, DE) for the eventual 2-0 victory.
The 'Cats outshot the Lady Chargers, 18-15 and held a 6-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Lady Charger keeper Kari Spicer (Littleton, CO) made seven saves in the loss.
Following the loss Dominican falls to 7-4 overall and 4-4 in the CACC, while Wilmington improved to 8-2 overall and 7-0 in the CACC.
Dominican is back in action next Saturday when they host Queens College in a non-conference game slated to begin at 12pm on the DC Soccer Field.
