Philadelphia, PA (9/25/10) The Dominican College women's soccer team improved to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play after defeating host, Holy Family University, 3-0, this afternoon in a CACC contest.
The Lady Chargers nettted their first goal at the 19:57 mark when freshman midfielder Danielle Romano (Plainview, NY) recorded her second goal of the season off the assist from Rachelle Romanowski (Lacey Township, NJ).
DC took a 2-0 lead into the intermission as Jane Dorsey (Ocean Grove, NJ) tallied her first goal of the season off the pass from CACC Rookie of the Week, Olivia Antonopoulos (Baldwin, NY) in the 22nd minute of action.
The game's final goal came at 67:02 as Antonopoulos got her team leading six goal of the season after a pass from forward Brenna Aiossa (East Brunswick, NJ) for the 3-0 victory.
Lady Charger keeper Kari Spicer (Littleton, CO) made 10 saves in the win.
Dominican is back in action on Tuesday when they host CACC opponent, Bloomfield College, at 3:30 pm on the DC Soccer Field.
