Philadelphia, PA (10/3/09)  The Dominican College women's soccer team fell to host Chestnut Hill College, 3-1 this afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's soccer action.

The Griffins netted all three of the goals in the first half as they out shot the Lady Chargers, 10-7 and held a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks.

Dominican got on the board in the 62nd minute as junior Margaret Porter (Neptune, NJ) netted her team leading 12th goal of the season on a direct kick.

For the game, CHC outshot DC 20-17 and finished with an 8-5 edge in corner kicks.

Lady Charger goalie Valentina Sturchio (Stewartsville, NJ) made eight saves in the loss.

With the loss Dominican falls to 5-3-2 overall and 4-2-1 in the CACC.

DC is back in action on Wednesday when they travel to non-conference opponent, Dowling College for a 4pm game.
