Dominican Gets By St. Thomas Aquinas College, 4-2
Orangeburg, NY (09/24/05) The women's soccer team scored four goals in the second half to get by St. Thomas Aquinas College, 4-2 in a game held at St. Thomas Aquinas.
Freshman Angela Correia (Elizabeth, NJ) netted DC's first goal at 55:38 off the assist by Kelly Egan-Thorpe (New Paltz, NY) to tie the game at
1-1. Correia struck again three minutes later with an unassisted goal.
Sophomore Pamela Mertens (Hicksville, NY) netted what would be the game winning goal in the 64th minute of action off the assist by Stony Point local Michelle Cusano. Jen Ditzig (Brick, NJ) added an unassisted goal in the 85th minute for the 4-2 victory.
Freshman keeper Allison Comentino (Ellenville, NY) had five saves the Lady Chargers.
