WOMEN'S LACROSSE LOSE THIRD STRAIGHT TO GEORGIAN COURT UNIVERSITY

Lakewood, NJ (3/15/08) The Dominican College women's lacrosse team lost to host Georgian Court University Lions, 20-3 this afternoon in the GCU season opener in Lakewood, NJ.

The Lions (1-0) controlled the action for the entire game with Jill Hadfield (Jackson, NJ) leading all scorers with five goals and five assists. Overall, eight different Lions scored goals on the day, including three apiece by Lauren Conaty (Pt. Pleasant, NJ) and Christine Flaherty (Howell, NJ); two each by Allison Abbate (Oceanport, NJ), Shannon Mastrogiovanni (Monroe Township, NJ), Ryan McGrath (Fr.-Manasquan, NJ) and Laura Housel (West Caldwell, NJ); and one by Kara Sanford (Pine Beach, NJ). Silje Karlsen (Vernon, NJ), Sara Kiernan (Saugerties, NY),

and Jen Olin (Oceanside, NJ) provided the goals for Dominican College (0-3).

The Lady Chargers are back in action on Wednesday, March 26th when they travel to Ramapo College of New Jersey. Game time is 4pm in Mahwah, NJ.
