WOMEN'S BASKETBALL FALLS IN CACC SEMI-FINALS
Philadelphia, Pa, (3/8/13) The Dominican College women's basketball team, the second seed in the north division fell to the top seed in the south division and regionally ranked, Holy Family University, 67-51, this afternoon in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament Quarter-Final game played at the University of the Sciences.

With the loss, Dominican ends the season with an overall record of 18-10.
Forward KC Jentzen (Pearl River, N.Y.) led two Lady Chargers in double figures and recorded her eighth double-double of the season, finishing with 17 points and game leading 11 rebounds.
Guard LaShonda Hathorne (Queens, N.Y.) scored 10 points.
Today was the last game for seniors #1 Bianca Harris (Teaneck, N.J.), #5 Lindsey Lopez (Elmwood Park, N.J.), #10 Chelsea Aronica (Staten Island, N.Y.) and #32 Shannon Lavelle (Floral Park, N.Y.).
Dominican got on the board first as Hathorne scored a layup to give the Lady Chargers the 2-0 lead. From there the Tigers went on a 20-1 run that spanned just over ten minutes to go ahead 20-3 and never looked back en route to a 32-17 lead at the intermission. Holy Family University never led the lead get below 10 points for the reminder of the contest as they went on to the 67-51 win.
The Lady Chargers shto 30.2% (16-53) from the floor for the game and went 15-19 (78.9%) from the charity stripe.
Holy Family University, currently ranked fourth in the East Region and fifth in the USA Today/ESPN Top 25 Poll, will take on Caldwell College tomorrow in the CACC Women's Basketball Championship at the University of the Sciences.
