WOMEN'S BASKETBALL UPENDS NYACK COLLEGE

(2/19/13) The Dominican College women's basketball team concluded regular season play with a 72-47 victory over host, Nyack College, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at Bowman Gymnasium. With the win, Dominican improves to 17-9 overall and 14-5 in conference play.

(2/19/13) The Dominican College women's basketball team concluded regular season play with a 72-47 victory over host, Nyack College, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at Bowman Gymnasium. With the win, Dominican improves to 17-9 overall and 14-5 in conference play.
The Lady Chargers opened up the game with scoring the first 14 points and extended the lead to 26-8 with 11:32 left in the first half. A jumper from senior Bianca Harris* (Teaneck, N.J.) made the score 41-21 with just over two minutes left and the team lead 43-25 at the intermission.
Dominican kept a double-digit lead through the second half, leading by as many as 26 points (72-46) en route to the 72-47 victory.
Senior guard Lindsey Lopez* (Elmwood Park, N.J.) led all scorers with 18 points and a night best seven assists.
Harris and forward KC Jentzen (Pearl River, N.Y.) each added 16 points a-piece, with Jentzen adding a team leading eight rebounds.
Senior guard Shannon Lavelle* (Floral Park, N.Y.) finished with 11 points and four assists.
DC has secured a home CACC Quarter-Final contest to be played on Saturday, March 2nd on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
