(1/29/13) The Dominican College women's basketball squad had their three-game winning streak come to an end tonight as they fell to host, Cadlwell College, 61-42, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game played at George R. Newman Center. Following the loss, the Lady Chargers now stand at 12-7 overall and 9-3 in conference play.

Newman Center. Following the loss, the Lady Chargers now stand at 12-7 overall and 9-3 in conference play.
Caldwell scored the first 15 points of the contest and never looked back as they took a 20 point lead (43-23) into the locker room at the intermission. The Cougars shot 62.1% for the half, compared to the Lady Chargers shooting just 32.0%.
CC extended their lead to 22 points early in the second stanza and the closest the Lady Chargers would come was when they cut the deficit to 13 points (42-55) with 7:51 remaining. A Caldwell layup with 5:25 to go on the clock would be the last basket of the contest as Caldwell went on to the 61-42 victory.
Dominican shot just 25.0% (13-51) from the floor for the game and were just 4-18 from the three point arc.
Senior Bianca Harris* (Teaneck, N.J.) paced the Lady Chargers with 12 points and a team leading eight rebounds.
KC Jentzen (Pearl River, N.Y.) added 10 points and seven caroms in the loss.
Freshman Aliyah Alston (Queens, N.Y.) tallied five points and two assists off the bench.
DC is back in action on Thursday as they host Nyack College on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
