LOPEZ REACHES MILESTONE AS LADY CHARGERS BEAT CONCORDIA COLLEGE

(1/9/13) Dominican College women's basketball player, Lindsey Lopez (Elmwood Park, N.J.) scored her 1,000th career point in leading the team to a 63-50 victory over the visiting Clippers of Concordia College this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game at the Hennessy Center.

(1/9/13) Dominican College women's basketball player, Lindsey Lopez* (Elmwood Park, N.J.) scored her 1,000th career point in leading the team to a 63-50 victory over the visiting Clippers of Concordia College this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game at the Hennessy Center.
The senior guard reached the 1,000th plateau on her first three-point basket of the second half with 19:25 to play. She came into tonight's contest needing 17 points.
The game was tied at 19-all with under 10 minutes left in the first stanza when Dominican went on to close out the first half on a 15-1 tear to gain a 35-22 advantage at the break. Lopez scored five of the last eight points of the half for DC.
Dominican held a double-digit lead throughout the second half and led by as many as 19 points (57-38) with 5:33 to go.
Lopez led all scorers with 20 points.
KC Jentzen (Pearl River, N.Y.) had the game's only double-double with 16 points and a season high 15 rebounds.
Bianca Harris* (Teaneck, N.J.) added eight points, 13 caroms and a night high three steals in the win.
With the victory, Dominican improves to 9-5 overall and 6-1 in the CACC.
DC is back inaction next Tuesday as they travel to Bloomfield College.
