New Haven, CT (12/30/11) The Dominican College women's basketball team had a four-game winning streak snapped this evening as they fell to host, Southern Connecticut State University, 70-32, in a non-conference game played at the Moore Fieldhouse. With the loss, Dominican now stands at 4-5 overall on the season.

With the loss, Dominican now stands at 4-5 overall on the season.
The Lady Chargers struggled offensively, shooting just 30.2% (13-43) for the game. The team went 6-10 (60.0%) from the charity stripe. Their lone lead of game was Bianca Harris's (Teaneck, NJ) free throw to begin scoring, 1-0. The Owls forced 27 Lady Charger turnovers in the game which produced 31 points.
Harris led the Lady Chargers with 10 points and five rebounds. Samantha Klunk (York, PA) and KC Jentzen (Nanuet, NY) each scored six points in the loss.
DC returns to action on Thursday, January 5th when they travel to Post University for a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game scheduled to begin at 6pm.
