WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TURN BACK GOLDEY-BEACOM COLLEGE
Wilmington, DE (12/10/11) The Dominican College women's basketball team improved to 4-4 overall and remained undefeated in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play at 4-0 after turning back Goldey-Beacom College, 66-52, this afternoon in a game played at the Joseph West Jones Center.

Dominican jumped out to an early 10-1 lead and would never trail in the contest. The Lady Chargers led by as many as 11 points in the first half, but the Lightning cut the deficit to two points (23-21) with just over five minutes left in the first half. DC closed out the first stanza on a 10-1 tear to rebuild a 33-22 lead.
The Lady Chargers never lost a double-digit lead in the second half as they built up an 18 point lead with 1:18 on the clock and they went on to the 66-52 victory.
Bianca Harris (Teaneck, NJ) and Lindsey Lopez (Elmwood Park, NJ) led the Lady Chargers as they each scored 18 points and combined for 11 rebounds (Harris pulled down a team leading eight rebounds) in the win. Lopez also had a team leading four steals.
Senior Marley Klunk (York, PA) added 13 points, going 6-9 from the floor, and six caroms.
DC returns to action on Friday, December 30th when they take on non-conference opponent, Southern Connecticut State University. Game time is set for 6pm.
