LADY CHARGERS BASKETBALL FALLS IN TRIPLE OVERTIME TO PHILADELPHIA UNIVERSITY RAMS

PhilaU junior guard Kate Brennan (Stratford, NJ) hit a trey with just four seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 71-71 and send it into overtime. In the first overtime K. Brennan scored eight of PhilaU's 12 points, as they led by as many as six but the Chargers tied it 81-81 free-throws fromsenior guard Althea Chambers (Yonkers, NY). K. Brennan again scored at a key moment- on a driving lay-up with 19 seconds remaining, but Chambers answered with a lay-up of her own to send the game into a second OT tied 83 all.
DC would lead by as many as four points in the second OT, but PhilaU sophomore guard Stephanie Agger (N. Cape May, NJ) missed her second free-throw, and junior center Jess Romano (Horsham, PA) grabbed the miss and put up a bucket with five seconds remaining to even the score at 97 a piece and go into the final OT.
The Lady Rams opened up the third overtime on a 10-3 run and PhilaU's Amanda Brennan (Stratford, NY) went 5-5 from the charity stripe in the final minute to secure the 114-104 home court win.
A. Brennan finished with a career high 39 points, while sister K. Brennan finished with season-high 21 points and career-high 10 boards. Romano had 29 points and 11 boards, while Agger finished with a career-high 19 points and a season-high seven rebounds for PhilaU.
Chambers led all scorers with a career high 43 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Junior forward Adele Laskowski (Wayne, NJ) had 26 points and a season high 12 caroms, while senior center Shalissa Burgess (Englewood, NJ) had a season high 14 points and nine boards in the loss.
The Lady Chargers fall to 14-10 overall and 11-3 in the CACC, while the Rams improve to 16-8 overall and 11-4 in the CACC.
Dominican is back in action on Thursday when they travel to Post University in CACC action. Game time is set for 6pm in Waterbury, CT.
