UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCES SNAP LADY CHARGERS WINNING STREAK

Philadelphia, PA (1/31/09) The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia women's basketball team snapped the Lady Chargers three game winning streak with a 59-48 victory this afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action at the Morgan Arena.
Senior guard Althea Chambers (Yonkers, NY) led all scorers with 19 points in the loss. Sophomore guard Jessica Fairweather (Richmond Hill, NY) contributed 11 points off the bench. Adele Laskowski (Wayne, NJ) netted seven points and senior Shalissa Burgess (Englewood, NJ) had a team leading eight rebounds in the loss.
Erin Chesnavich led the Devils with 16 points and had 10 rebounds. Allison Weiss had 12 points and a game leading 11 rebounds in the victory.
With the win USP improves to 9-8 overall and 6-3 in the CACC, while Dominican falls to 11-9 overall and 8-2 in the CACC.
Dominican is back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Felician College in CACC women's action. Game time is set for 6pm.
