LADY CHARGERS DEFEAT PACE UNIVERSITY SETTERS

 

Pleasantville, NY (12/28/07)  The visiting Lady Chargers of Dominican College defeated the Setters of Pace University, 65-58 this afternoon in a non-conference game held at the Goldstein Center.

Sophomore forward Adele Laskowski (Wayne, NJ) led the team with 15 points and four assists.  Junior center Shalissa Burgess (Englewood, NJ) had the team's only double-double with 13 points and a game leading 12 rebounds.   Althea Chambers (Yonkers, NY) netted 10 points and nine rebounds in the win.

The Setters had two players in double figures with Stephanie Klingele netting 20 points.  Stephanie Rossmy netted 16 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.

Dominican shot 40.4% (23-57) from the floor for the game and 80.0% (12-15) from the charity stripe.

The Lady Chargers are back in action on Sunday when they host Franklin Pierce University in a non-conference game held at the Hennessy Center on Coach Baxter Court.  Game time is 4pm.
