Blauvelt, NY (12/1/07)  Senior Ciera Darby (Trenton, NJ) hit a jumper at the buzzer to lift the visiting Bloomfield College Deacons over the Dominican College Lady Chargers, 52-50 this afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's basketball action on Coach Baxter Court.

The Deacons held a seven point lead with just over nine minutes left in the first half as Dominican went on a 7-0 run, highlighted by back to back three point buckets by seniors Dana Rotio (Garfield, NJ) and Kristen Tracey (Bronx, NY) to knot the game at 17-17.  BC rebounded with an 8-0 run to end the first half with a 33-26 lead.

In the second half, Bloomfield lead by ten, 50-40, with 5:26 to go when DC went on a 10-0 run for the third tie of the game as junior Althea Chambers (Yonkers, NY) hit one of two free throws with 0:09 seconds remaining.

Bloomfield inbounded the ball under their own basket and Darby dribbled down the floor and hit the jumper as time expired for the thrilling, 52-50 victory.
