Bloomfield Rallies To Defeat Lady Chargers, 64-57

Blauvelt, NY (12/5/06) The Bloomfield College Lady Deacons rallied to defeat the Lady Chargers, 63-47, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game in Bloomfield, NJ.

Bloomfield Rallies To Defeat Lady Chargers, 64-57

Blauvelt, NY (12/5/06)   The Bloomfield College Lady Deacons rallied to defeat the Lady Chargers, 63-47, this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game in Bloomfield, NJ.

Bloomfield trailed 33-28 at the half, but rallied to shoot 12-35 (34.3%) behind Shantae Barnes 11 point performance in the second half, en route to the 63-47 victory.

The Lady Chargers were led by freshman Adele Laskowski (Wayne, NJ) with 21 points, five rebounds and four steals.  Junior guard Dana Rotio (Garfield, NJ) added 13 points, seven assists and four steals, while senior Jackie Tracey-Spitaleri (Bronx, NY) added 11 points and four rebounds.  Sophomore Althea Chambers (Yonkers, NY) had 13 rebounds and three steals in the loss. 

Bloomfield College was led by Ciera Darby with 25 points and eight rebounds.  Barnes finished with 11 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks in the win.  Marissa Franklin had 10 points and eight rebounds.

With the loss, Dominican drops to 4-2 overall and 2-2 in the CACC.  Bloomfield improves to 3-2 overall and 3-0 in the CACC.

The Lady Chargers are back in action on Thursday when they host to Caldwell College at 6pm on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.
