Felician College Lady Golden Falcons Defeat Lady Chargers, 68-65

Blauvelt, NY (12/8/05) The Felician College Lady Golden Falcons defeated the Dominican College Lady Chargers, 68-65 this evening in CACC action at the Hennessy Center.

Rochelle Forbes (Montreal, Canada) led all scorers with 16 points, highlighting four FC players in double figures. Danielle Norman (Bronx, NY) had the game's only double-double with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Guard Diane Burns (Brewster, NY) chipped in 12 points and had four assists. Laurin Brown (Bayville, NJ) netted 11 points in the win.

The Golden Falcons took a 10 point lead in to halftime and led by as many as twelve. Dominican rallied to tie the game at 56-56 with 4:13 remaining as senior Ashley Rossi (Greenwood Lake, NY) nailed a jumper. Felician went up for good with 0:44 seconds remaining as Burns hit to shots from the charity line.

For the Lady Chargers freshman Jillian Degnan (Whitestone, NY) led three players in double figures with 14 points. Rossi and Jackie Tracey (Bronx, NY) each netted 13 points in the loss

Felician shot 41% for the game to Dominican's 38%, but DC had the edge from the foul line, shooting 81% to FC's 66.7%.

The Lady Chargers return to action on December 10 when they host to Philadelphia University to celebrate campers' day. Tip off is set for 1pm.
