LADY CHARGERS VOLLEYBALL CHARGE PAST FELICIAN COLLEGE

Rutherford, NJ (10/29/09)  The visiting Dominican College Lady Chargers defeated the Felician College Golden Falcons, 3-0 (25-16, 25-22, 25-15) this evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's volleyball action.

Tied at 13-13 in the opening set, the Lady Chargers went on a 7-2 run to take a 20-15 lead.  Two service points by Catherine Giordano (Stony Point, NY) gave DC a a 22-16 lead and they went on to the 25-16 set victory.

DC jumped out to a 10-6 lead in the second set and never trailed en route to the 25-22 victory. With the set tied 21-21, the Lady Chargers went on a 4-1 run to take the set.

The Lady Chargers kept on the offensive as they took a 8-3 lead in the third set and never looked back as they cruised to the 25-15 third set win and 3-9 match victory.

Freshman Michelle Fiorvanti (Commack, NY) led the Lady Chargers with a match leading 17 kills.  Junior Kerianne Dudley (Nanuet, NY) added eight kills, while setter Whitney Ranger (Ventura, CA) had a match leading 36 assists.  Freshman Jordyn Fuller (Keller, TX) had a team leading 10 defensive digs.

With the victory Dominican improves to 20-8 overall and 14-3 in the CACC.

Dominican is back in action on Saturday when they travel to Georgian Court University for a 12pm CACC match.
