PHILADELPHIA UNIVERSITY RAMS DEFEAT LADY CHARGERS VOLLEYBALL, 3-0

Blauvelt, NY (10/6/07)       The visiting Rams of Philadelphia University defeated the Dominican College Lady Chargers, 3-0 this afternoon in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) volleyball action on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.

Senior outside hitter Emily Krauss (Stormville, NY) led all attackers with 17 kills.  Sophomore Celena Rendon (San Antonio, TX) had eight kills, while Lindsey Butler (DeKalb, Ill) and Nicole Berkstresser (Bridgewater, NJ) each had seven kills in the win.  Freshman setter Lauren Hoover (New Baltimore, Mich) had 41 assists.

The Lady Chargers were led by junior Kinikia Collier (Garnerville, NY) with nine kills.  Freshman Yashani Smith (West Haverstraw, NY) with eight kills, while fellow freshman Catherine Giordano (Stony Point, NY) added seven kills in the loss.  Setter Kaitlin Earl (Greenville, NY) had 25 assists.             

With the win, the Rams improve to 13-10 overall and 7-2 in the CACC, while the Lady Chargers falls to 3-9 on the year and 3-6 in the CACC.

Dominican is back in action on Thursday when they travel to Bloomfield College for a 7:30 pm game.
