DOMINICAN VOLLEYBALL DEFEATS CALDWELL COLLEGE
Blauvelt, NY (10/4/07) The Dominican College Lady Chargers volleyball team defeated host Caldwell College, 3-1 this evening in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's volleyball action.
Dominican won the first game 30-16 and took the second game 30-26 for a 2-0 lead. Caldwell rebounded to win the third game, 30-19 but Dominican won the fourth game, 30-16 for the 3-1 win.
Junior Theresa Hanneman (Pearl River, NY)
led the Lady Chargers with 15 kills. Outside hitter
Kinikia Collier (Garnerville, NY) had 10 kills and
21 digs. Setter Kaitlin Earl (Greenville,
NY) had 24 assists in the win, while Antoinette
Hackett (Pearl River, NY) led the team with 23 digs.
The Cougars were led by Corey Roesing with 16 kills. Laura Ciesla had 14 kills, while Justine Precora had 12 kills in the loss.
With the win, Dominican improves to 3-8 overall and 3-5 in the CACC, while Caldwell falls to 1-17 overall and 106 in the CACC.
The Lady Chargers are back in action on Saturday when they host
Philadelphia University in CACC women's volleyball action.
Game time is 12pm at the Hennessy Center.
