MOLLOY LIONS TURN BACK DOMINICAN VOLLEYBALL, 3-1
Rockville Centre, NY (9/8/07) The Dominican College Lady Chargers volleyball team dropped a non-conference match to host Molloy College this afternoon, 3-1 (31-29, 30-25, 30-26, 30-27).
Junior outside hitter Theresa Hanneman (Pearl River, NY) had a season high 14 kills to lead Dominican, while fellow junior Kinikia Collier (Garnerville, NY) added seven kills and Ashley Simpson (Spring Valley, NY) had six kills in the loss. Setter Kaitlin Earl (Greenville, NY) had 20 assists, while freshman Lauren Palmero (Otisville, NY) had 12 assists.
The Lions were led by Arielle Wichard with a match leading 17 kills. Diann Drury added 12 kills, while Laura Haynes had 11 kills in the win. Danielle Sekesan had 52 assists.
The Lady Chargers are back in action next Saturday when they
travel to Georgian Court University in Central Atlantic Collegiate
Conference (CACC) women's volleyball action. Game time is
slated for 1pm.
