Dominican Volleyball Downs Post University, 3-0

Blauvelt, NY (10/2/06) The Dominican College Lady Chargers downed Post University, 3-0 this evening in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) match held at the Hennessy Center.

Dominican inched past Post in the first game 30-28, won a thrilling second game 31-29 and took the third game 30-19 for the 3-0 victory.

  The Lady Chargers were led by sophomore Kinikia Collier (Garnerville, NY) with 15 kills and 11 digs.  Sophomore Theresa Hanneman (Pearl River, NY) added 12 kills in the win, while Kaitlin Earl (Greenville, NY) had 33 assists.  Junior Antoinette Hackett (Pearl River, NY) had 10 digs.

The Eagles were led by Tadj Williams (Albany, NY) led all attackers with 21 kills, while Kerry Smith (Lynbrook, NY) added 10 kills and 14 digs.  Junior Vicky Ducharme (Nashua, NH) added five kills, while Gabrielle Hopkins (Yonkers, NY) had 36 assists in the loss.

With the win, Dominican improves to 3-13 overall and 3-6 in the CACC, while Post falls to 4-13 overall and 4-5 in the CACC

Dominican will be in action on Wednesday October 4, when they travel to Bloomfield College in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) action scheduled for 7pm.
