Dominican Volleyball Ends Season With A CACC Tri-Match Split

Bloomfield, NJ (11/5/05) The Dominican College women's volleyball team (8-18, 7-15 CACC) ended the 2005 season with a split in a tri-match involving Bloomfield College and Georgian Court University.

In the first match against GCU, the Lady Chargers came away with the 3-1 victory. Dominican took control early winning the first two games, 30-27 and 30-27. GCU fought back to take the third game, while DC finished them off winning the fourth game, 30-26.

The Lady Chargers were led by freshman Kinikia Collier (Garnerville, NY) who had a double-double with 13 kills and 23 digs. Senior setter Megan Earl (Greenville, NY) had 26 assists. Jessica Zanotti (Garfield, NJ) and Tara Leahy (Highland Falls, NY) contributed six kills and five kills.

In the second match against host Bloomfield College, the Lady Deacons put the Lady Chargers away in three straight games. Collier led the team with six kills, while Theresa Hanneman (Pearl River, NY) and Zanotti had five kills a piece. Earl contributed 21 assists.
