University of the Sciences in Philadelphia Defeats Dominican, 3-1
Blauvelt, NY (10/6/05) The University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (11-7, 7-5) handed the Lady Chargers of Dominican College (6-10, 5-8) a 3-1 loss in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference volleyball action this evening at the Hennessy Center
Dominican looked good early, winning the first game 30-25, but couldnt hang on as they lost the next three 27-30, 23-30, 19-30.
For the Devils, senior Emily Roth (York, PA) had a double double, with a match leading 24 kills and 26 defensive digs. Freshman Ladonna Landmesser(Drexel Hill, PA) led the way with 42 assists, while Claire Tauschek (Verona, WI) added 29 defensive digs, respectively.
For the Lady Chargers, freshman Kinikia Collier (Garnerville, NY) led the team with 12 kills and 24 defensive digs, while senior Megan Earl (Greenville, NY) had her first triple triple of the season with 10 kills, 34 assists and 11 defensive digs.
Dominican will be in action again on Saturday, October 8 as they travel to St. Anselm College for a non-conference tri-match.
