KLUNK TAKES SECOND PLACE AT DICK SHEA OPEN
West Point, NY (4/1/12) Dominican College track member, Samantha Klunk (York, PA) took second place in the 3000 meter steeplechase event at the DIck Shea Open which was held yesterday at the United States Military Academy.

Klunk finished the event with a time of 11:13.55.
Sophomore Jessica Avila (Mount Vernon, NY) took 21st place in the 1500 meter run with a time of 5:10.89. Teammate Krystal Campbell (New Windsor, NY) ran a time of 5:19.99 to finish in 27th place.
Junior Sharrika Brent (Brooklyn, NY) competed in the 100 meter dash where she finished in 25th place with a time of 14.79.
Freshman Renee Roncace (Valley Cottage, NY) ran in the 800 meter dash and finished in 11th place with a time of 2:29.37. Campbell finished in 16th place with a time of 2:34.88, while Klunk took 27th place with a time of 2:42.18.
In the 200 meter dash, Amber Lacey (Mount Vernon, NY) ran a time of 28.72 to finish in 24th place.
The relay team of Lacey, Roncace, Avila and Keyla Cruz (Bronx, NY) took second place 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:29.07.
In the 4x100 meter relay, the team of Brent, Cruz, Lacey and Ashley Hodges (Bronx, NY) finished in eighth place with a time of 57.05.
