WOMEN'S TRACK COMPETE AT RUTGERS INVITATIONAL

Piscataway, NJ (4/9/11) The Dominican College women's track team competed at the Rutgers Invitational that was held today at the Bauer Track and Field Complex.

Piscataway, NJ (4/9/11)  The Dominican College women's track team competed at the Rutgers Invitational that was held today at the Bauer Track and Field Complex.

Three Lady Chargers competed in the 1500 meter run event and junior Samantha Klunk (York, PA) finished in 28th place with a time of 5:30.00.  Freshman Krystal Campbell (New Windsor, NY) ran a time of 5:35.00 to take 29th place and freshman Jessica Avila (Mount Vernon, NY) took 31st place with a time of 5:40.00. 

Sarah Dugandzic (Suffern, NY) ran the 800 meter dash where she finished in 31st place with a time of 2:30.00.  Amanda Castro (New Rochelle, NY) ran a time of 2:35.00 to finish in 36th place.

In the 200 meter dash event, Michelle Brito (Washington Heights, NY) and Sharrika Brent (Brooklyn, NY) finished in 26th and 27th place with times of 28.00.

Klunk also ran in the 3000 meter run where she took 23rd place with a time of 11:20.00.
