WOMEN'S TRACK COMPETE IN FIRST EVER MEET

Orangeburg, NY (4/14/09) The Dominican College women's track team competed in their first ever track meet last evening as they took part in the St. John's University Monday Meeting at DaSilva Memorial Field.

Orangeburg, NY (4/14/09)  The Dominican College women's track team competed in their first ever track meet last evening as they took part in the St. John's University Monday Meeting at DaSilva Memorial Field.

In the 200 meter dash sophomore Shanice Scully (St. Albans, NY) finished fifth in section 3 with a time of 28.20.

In the 800 meter run freshman Megan Murphy (Carmel, NY) took third place in section two with a time of 2:28.23.  Teammate Samantha Klunk (York, PA) finished fifth with a time of 2:42.01, while sister Marley Klunk (York, PA) took the eleventh spot with a time of 2:56.85.  Sophomore Kristen Haycook (Point Pleasant, NJ) finished in 13th place with a time of 2:59.13.

The Lady Chargers also took part in the 4 x 100 meter relay where the team finished in sixth place with a time of 57.20.
