CHILDERS NAMED ECAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/26/13) Dominican College softball player, Delaney Childers, has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Player of the Week for the week ending March 24th. Kate Skokowski of West Chester University was tabbed the Pitcher of the Week as was announced by the ECAC today.
Orangeburg, N.Y. (3/26/13) Dominican College softball player, Delaney Childers, has been named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Player of the Week for the week ending March 24th. Kate Skokowski of West Chester University was tabbed the Pitcher of the Week as was announced by the ECAC today.
Childers, a senior left-handed pitcher and outfielder, batted .571 with eight hits in 14 at-bats with one double and one triple. She tallied three RBI and four runs, with an on-base percentage of .600 and a slugging percentage of .786. On the mound, she posted a 2-0 record with 10 strikeouts. She allowed only four runs (three earned) in 14 innings.
Dominican is currently 7-9 overall and 4-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play.
